Crispy Oven Baked Wings

This might be… this simplest recipe I’ll ever share. Seriously… like… there’s not even really anything to say about it except that THESE WANGZ IS DA BOMB. One important thing to note is that you need a cooling rack (like you would use for cookies). So if you don’t have one… go get one before you try this at home 🙂



  • 2-5 los chicken wings (I buy the party wings from Kroger)
  • Baking POWDER
  • Buffalo sauce
  • 2 sticks butter
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Salt


Ok so first things first: preheat that oven to 450 F. It takes what feels like fo-ev-a for it to heat up, but you won’t nice this time because you’re gonna be busy getting the wings ready.

While the oven is heating, lay all of your wings out on a cookie sheet and pay them ALL the way dry with paper towels. What’s important to note here is that moisture=less crispy. So the dryer you can get them the better.

Once you’ve got the wings all dry, coat them with a dusting of baking powder. This is what will crisp up the skin on the chicken so make sure they are all evenly coated. Transfer the wings to another dish or literally anywhere that isn’t the cookie sheet you’re using, add a cooling rack to the cookie sheet, and then return the wings to the sheet by placing them flat across the rack.

Bake the wings at 450 F for 1 hour.


Buffalo Sauce:

Melt 1 stick of butter for 30 seconds in the microwave. Mix in 1 cup of buffalo sauce, and 1/2 tbsp salt. Mix well.

Lemon Pepper Sauce:

Melt 1 stick of butter for 30 seconds in the microwave. Mix in 1/4 c lemon pepper seasoning and 1/2 tbsp salt.


Once the wings are done, brush the sauces on with a pastry brush. You can serve immediately or let the sauces soak in a little. Whichever you prefer 🙂
